Newbie Experience

YOUR SOUL STRENGTH EXPERIENCE

Whether it’s your very first class or you’ve been part of our community for a while, we want every Soul Strength experience to be a great one.

Here are a few things to help you prepare, feel comfortable and get the most out of your time with us.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

HYDRATE 💧

Many of our classes are held in a heated environment, so expect to sweat!

Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water throughout the day rather than trying to catch up just before class. Bring a water bottle with you and keep hydrated throughout your session.

FUEL YOUR BODY

Try to avoid a large or heavy meal immediately before training.

If you’re hungry, choose something light that you know sits well with you and gives you enough energy for your session.

WHAT TO WEAR

Comfort is key.

Wear clean, comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely. For our heated classes, breathable clothing is recommended because you can definitely expect to work up a sweat!

Grip socks are required for Reformer Pilates.

For Yoga and Hot Pilates, your coach will guide you on what is appropriate for the session.

WHAT TO BRING

Keep it simple:

  • Water bottle
  • Towel
  • Grip socks for Reformer
  • Comfortable activewear
  • Your own Yoga mat if you prefer, otherwise studio equipment is available

And most importantly — bring a good attitude and be ready to enjoy yourself!

BOOK YOUR CLASSES

We recommend booking your classes in advance through the Soul Strength app.

Planning your sessions ahead makes it much easier to create consistency and helps us make sure everything is ready for you when you arrive.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

ARRIVE A LITTLE EARLY

If it’s your first visit, we recommend arriving around 10–15 minutes before your class.

This gives you time to find your way around, get settled and meet your coach without feeling rushed.

Once you know the studio, arriving a few minutes early gives you plenty of time to get yourself ready for class.

CHECK IN WITH YOUR COACH

If it’s your first class, make sure you introduce yourself to your coach.

Let them know if you’re new to this style of training and tell them about any injuries, limitations or anything else they should be aware of before you start.

Our coaches are there to make you feel comfortable and help you get the most out of your session.

DURING YOUR CLASS

YOUR CLASS. YOUR LEVEL.

Every Soul Strength class has a different purpose.

Some sessions will challenge your strength and fitness.

Some will make you sweat.

Others will focus on control, mobility, flexibility, breathing and slowing everything down.

No matter which class you choose, you don’t need to keep up with anyone else in the room.

Our coaches will provide options and modifications wherever possible so you can work at a level that is appropriate for you.

Challenge yourself, listen to your body and enjoy the experience.

Progress comes from consistency — not perfection.

AFTER YOUR CLASS

TAKE A MOMENT

You did it! 🙌

Give yourself a moment to slow down, breathe and appreciate what you’ve just accomplished.

You’ve taken time out of your day to do something positive for your body and mind — enjoy that feeling.

REFUEL & REHYDRATE

Continue drinking water after your session, particularly after our heated classes.

Make sure you’re also giving your body the nutrition it needs to support your training and recovery.

RECOVERY

If you’re new to training or trying a different class style, feeling some muscle soreness afterwards can be completely normal.

Gentle movement, walking, mobility work and appropriate recovery can all help.

As your body adapts and you become more consistent, you’ll start to understand what training and recovery combination works best for you.

BOOK YOUR NEXT CLASS

This is where the magic really happens.

Results don’t come from one perfect workout — they come from consistently showing up.

Have a look at your week and decide when you’re going to make time for yourself.

Book your classes in advance and treat that time like an appointment with yourself.

There will always be days when staying home feels easier. On those days, remember how you feel when you finish a Soul Strength class:

Stronger. Energised. Clearer. Accomplished.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You just have to keep showing up.

We can’t wait to see you in the studio. ✨
